The aim of the WATER Project was to drill one artesian well in the Kaxinawá indigenous land of Rio Humaitá, in the Novo Futuro village. These would provide clean drinking water which would improve the quality of life and reduce illness of the Huni Kuin people and the visitors.

Once completed, the artesian well was 22 meters deep, equipped with an industrial filter (a key item to maintain the quality of the water, as it removes impurities, rust and water salubrity), a solar pump ran by two 280W solar panels, one 5,000 liters water tank installed at a height of four meters, in large wooden support.
Thanks to the efforts, the well achieved great performance and is avoiding a series of diseases that used to happen in this village such as diarrhea, verminoses, infections and food contamination.
